“The Faugni”: the long night of the fire

The long night of fire and fun.

It repeats, like every year, the most magical and enchanting event of the ancient ducal city, renewing the age-old bond with a rite that, still today, amazes and surprises: “The Faugni”, tall bundles of reeds that, at the dawn of December 8th (at 5), are carried in procession, accompanied by the musical notes of the “banda”, in the streets of the historic center of Atri (Te).
